Bioshock 2

February 26th, 2010

Now that I have made it away from my WoW addiction, I can start focusing on other interesting games. One being the pretty new Bioshock 2. After playing the original Bioshock I was really craving for more Rapture. The underwater city that was impossible to be built anywhere else was so immerse and full of little details that it really got me hooked. The interesting way to tell the story with diaries of Raptures residents and very neat storyline kept the game interesting untill the end.

I had hardly heard anything about Bioshock 2 and didn’t even know that the main character would be a Big Daddy. After couple of minutes of gameplay you receive your first plasmid and instantly notice the fact that you can keep weapon in right hand, AND use plasmid with the left hand! This is such a big improvement from the original Bioshock and this made playing even more enjoyable. The story in this game is very interesting also, setting it’s place in a time after the original Bioshock, where Andrew Ryan is dead and someone named Sofia Lamb is in charge. This Lamb-lady has stolen your little sister so you have to go and kick some ass to get her back.

There are numerous differencies in this game and the first Bioshock. Examples of good ones being the possibility to get special things to weapons after you have upgraded them twice, a little note telling you the code to a code-lock if you have seen or heard the code before and the research camera being replaced with a video camera. One of the annoying differencies is the way collecting adam is handled. You have to find a little sister, kill its Big Daddy and take the sister for a ride. When you find a body filled with adam you lay the sister down and defend her against a endless wave of splicers untill the adam harvesting is complete. This part takes annoyingly long and is just very boring. And you will be doing it a lot. You will be needing the adam in the end when you want to get some of those new upgraded plasmids that cost damn much.

Overally this game is even better than the original Bioshock so I suggest you buy this great game and see the story for yourself. I am not going to spoil any of it!

Sold my WoW account

Just received the cash and gave the guy my authenticator 15 minutes ago and damn I feel fine. Now I finally might have time to start doing some of those coding projects I have wanted to do!

This is it

No we are not talking about the movie about Michael Jackson. This is about me quitting WoW for good. Recently I have started to figure how much money and time I have put in that game and realized that I could be spending my time much better. My substriction runs out end of this month and that will be the last one I will be ever paying. Should probably sell my account to get something back of the time I have spent on that game.
